Witch King

Just a quick post of a model I finished up for someone else. Nothing amazing here. I got some tips about painting black and did some experimentation with adding deeper shades of various colors to give it a little something more.

Looks great!

What is the paint recipe that you used for black?

Thanks,
Kerry

Looks great Scott. Blacks a hard colour to make come to life - especially in the case of the witch king which is all black.

Nice work.

Thanks for the compliments! My black recipe didn't get written down unfortunately, but here's my rough memory of it:
1) prime black
2) highlight Coal Black (P3)
3) highlight red shadow (RMS)
4) highlight Violet Shadow (RMS)
5) highlight Dark Elf Skin (RMS)
6) thin wash Badab Black (GW)
7) highlight thin Stormy Grey (RMS)
